چکیده

Dynamical evolution models of 361 extragalactic Fanaroff–Riley type II radio sources selected from the Cambridge 3CRR, 6CE, 5C6, and 5C7 Sky Surveys, as well Bologna B2, Green Bank GB, GB2 are presented. Their spectra, compiled mostly recent catalogs available NASA/IPAC Astrophysical Catalogs Support System databases, along with morphological characteristics determined their maps, have been modeled using DYNAGE algorithm and/or its extension (KDA EXT) for hypothetical case further after jet's termination. The best-fit provide estimates a number important physical parameters sources, (i) jet power, (ii) density distribution external gaseous medium surrounding core propagating through it, (iii) initial energy relativistic particles accelerated at shock fronts, (iv) age observed structure. Additionally, some derivative provided, e.g., lobes' pressure, longitudinal expansion velocity, magnetic field strength, total deposited in lobes. spectra included. Finally, one useful applications above is presented, namely strong correlation between ambient rest-frame two-point spectral index directly spectra.

Evolution of Giant Radio Sources

We present radio images of two giant quasars from the Molonglo/1Jy sample, and make a comparative study of giant radio sources selected from the literature with 3CR radio sources of smaller sizes to investigate the evolution of giant sources, and test their consistency with the unified scheme. The luminosity-size diagram shows that the giant sources are less luminous than smaller-sized sources,...

A method of estimation of the dynamical age of FR II-type radio sources from multi-frequency data

Context. Determination of ages of powerful radio sources is crucial in understanding galaxy evolution, the activity cycle of galactic nuclei and their influence on the surrounding intergalactic medium. So far, several different methods for age estimates of classical double radio galaxies have been proposed and widely used in the literature, although each of them faces some difficulties due to o...

Estimating the Number of Wideband Radio Sources

In this paper, a new approach for estimating the number of wideband sources is proposed which is based on RSS or ISM algorithms. Numerical results show that the MDL-based and EIT-based proposed algorithm havea much better detection performance than that in EGM and AIC cases for small differences between the incident angles of sources. In addition, for similar conditions, RSS algorithm offers hi...

Dynamical and chemical effects of FR II radio sources on the intra - cluster medium

We investigate the effects of intermittent strong jets from an Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) of a massive galaxy in the core of a cool core galaxy cluster, on the dynamics and metal distribution of the intra-cluster medium (ICM). We use a simple model for the metal distribution within the host galaxy which includes metal injection via star formation. We carry out 2D axisymmetric hydrodynamic sim...
